hello my name is retta's and today I will be talking to you about a through G requirements were you thinking about college are you confused about what classes to take to get there have no fear all you have to remember are these seven letters a through G these are special requirements that you will need to be eligible for admission to a University of California or California State University these requirements are called the a through G requirement each letter represents seven academic areas that a student need to take in high school in order to be eligible for use these and csu's VA representative three be praying C form f d for lab Sciences be foreign language F Visual and Performing Arts or vapa & G College Prep collectives new season csu's require that you pass a through G courses with a C or better they also require that you take a certain amount of years for each of the seven categories for some of the categories more the years are recommended in order to be a more competitive applicant for History 2 years acquired for English 4 years are required for math 3 years are required before years are recommended for lab Sciences two years are required but three years are recommended for foreign language two years are required but three years are recommended you must take the same language for two or more years for visual Performing Arts one year is required for college prep elective one year is worth so now you have the a through G down congratulations but wait you might be wondering I know what subject I need to meet a through G and how many years I need for each one who which classes does Bravo offer here are classes that you can take at Bravo for history you can take us history world history Mexican American studies and more for English you can take 9th grade English contemporary comp grwc more for math you can take Algebra 1 statistics calculus and others for a lot of Sciences you can take biology chemistry physiology and many others for foreign language we offer a variety of levels in Mandarin Spanish for native speakers and regular Spanish some of the classes we offer for visual Performing Arts are theater Digital Imaging and dance do we offer many more for college preparatory elective we offer psychology ethnic studies journalism and many others so there you have it a quick review of the ACT requirement every year you will meet with your counselor and Reeve your progress in completing your a through G requirement please contact your counselor for any questions that you may have thank you from the Bravo counseling team
