Mrs. Campa celebrates Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month with KLCS Mrs. Campa celebrates Latino Heritage Month Show Transcript in my classroom I teach students a Latino cultures are wonderfully diverse yet many share powerful common threads like family tradition storytelling music joy and celebrations of life like in SAS these values no matter to every student whatever their Heritage because they help us understand who we are and how we connect with 1 another I remind my students of Trailblazers like sorjuana in De La Cruz the Mexican poet philosopher and Scholar who in the 1600s courageously defended women's rights to learn each day we honor contributions like hers and explore how they continue to shape the opportunity students have today I encourage young people to use their voices strengthened their leadership and to create positive change in their communities because while it is important to know what you're going it matters even more to know what you come from
