EDGENUITY

Edgenuity

Virtual Courses: Course offered online with the vendor providing the appropriately credentialed teacher. Virtual courses may be used for original credit or as an option for credit recovery. These courses are ideal for students needing a course that is not offered at their school site or are unable to include a specific class into their regular schedule. These courses are NCAA approved.

Edgenuity is an effective and proven way to help students earn  high school credits in courses they did not pass the first time around. The online courses are self-contained, independent study units, designed to supplement your school’s existing curriculum. Students can enroll in the Fall or Spring on selected start dates for their courses.  Mandatory on site seat time is required.

Any of our courses can be taken for credit recovery. See your counselor for further details about our courses.

ADULT SCHOOL

Adult School

High school students  may enroll concurrently in adult education secondary classes to make up deficient credits needed for graduation.  Students may attend adult education classes after having attended the regular school day. Enrollment of concurrent students requires documentation and approval by high school counselor, student, parent/guardian and adult school counselor. Concurrent Enrollment forms may be obtained in the counseling office.  See your counselor for further details and a list of additional school options.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Community colleges offer students who are currently enrolled in a high school the opportunity to make up credits or earn additional credits towards their diploma. Students must have a referral form from their counselor that is signed by their parents before they are eligible to enroll in the program.

About the High School Concurrent Enrollment Program

The High School Concurrent Enrollment program in community college allows eligible students to enroll in college courses and earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Participating students not only get a “taste” of college, but also get a head start on their college career. Students complete assignments in the same manner as “regularly” admitted students and are given a final grade that is posted on their college official college transcript.

Program Fees

Tuition is FREE for all students physically attending high school in California; a savings of $138 to $276 for a typical High School Concurrent Enrollment program participant. Students are responsible for all other fees (e.g., course materials, books, health fee, and Student ID card (optional).

For more information concerning fees, please visit the college website and/or speak with your counselor.
